FOUNDER
Ian
Ian has been in the industry for over 17 years. He is best known by the DUEx family for his continuous kindness and support toward employees. He’s a competitor at heart, spending lots of time on the basketball court with friends. Ian is a devout Laker/Dodger fan and can recite player stats, rosters, and batting averages off hand. He also loves to hang out with his wife and two children, Noah and Emilia. His favorite food is Jollibee Fried Chicken & Spaghetti. As a forward thinker, Ian is always striving to better the company, break new ground, and support his squad.
Fun Fact: when Ian was in middle school, he took a summer vacation to the Philippines, where he was scouted and offered a basketball scholarship at a local high school and college. Alas, he opted to stick to being a U.S. citizen, which led him to his flourishing career at DUEx.
CO-FOUNDER
Alvin
Alvin is the Co-Founder of DUEx. With more than 15 years in the business, he is a premium resource for design knowledge and utility processes. A basketball fanatic who once made 20 free throws during the Nike 3ON3 competition, Alvin often boasts about marrying his college crush and his three amazing kids Ava, Trent, and Art. He once bowled a score of 286 with 8 strikes in a row (perfect score is 300). Alvin loves to ride mountain bikes in his free time, but golf is his #1sport of choice. In the near future, he deeply desires to travel to the Philippines with his family and visit his loved ones. His motto: “Live a life that makes God, your family, and loved ones proud of you.”
PROJECT MANAGER
Paul
Another dry utilities veteran and the first employee of DUEx, Paul has been in the industry for over 5 years. He’s best known in the office for his IT proficiency and unrivaled attention to detail. Outdoors is where he wants to be - under the sun, cycling (gran fondo rides are not uncommon), playing basketball, and even camping with friends. Paul is your typical foodie with an appetite for shrimp fried rice and boba. He worked in action sports prior to DUEx and has been a professional DJ for over 20 years. Paul is a longtime and loyal fan to both the Lakers and Dodgers and in his free time, he loves to travel and simply enjoy life.
PROJECT MANAGER
Justin
Justin defines outdoorsman. He loves surfing, camping, and time in the mountains. Justin served as a lifeguard for the beaches of Newport Beach, Balboa, and Corona Del Mar for 15 years and has tallied over 800 life saving land and sea rescues. He also holds 7 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, but is now an invaluable member of DUEx. Uniquely a citizen of the U.S. and Ireland, he is also a unique standout in the office as the lone Angels fan, but often states, "I would rather play sports than watch them.” It's very difficult to be in a bad mood, when Justin is in the room.

Jordan
Her name is Jordan but some call her Jomo or Jordy. She’s one of our most spirited squad members. You can always count on her to have a smile on her face. She kickstarted her career working the front desk and Sales at Hilton, then made her way into the construction industry, where she served as a Project Assistant at a general contracting firm, learning how to read blueprints and all of the ins and outs of the industry. She is highly organized and a diligent note taker. This upcoming year, she plans to learn how to surf, tackle more big hikes, and complete a half marathon. Being a Newport Beach native, she spends most of her time with her toes in the sand, alongside her friends and four legged bestie, Capri - a blue-eyed Husky mix. Aside from weekend beach hangs, her joy comes from traveling, trying new restaurants and food, camping, weekend road trips, live music, and exploring the great outdoors.

Eileen
Eileen is one of the sweetest and most sincere people you will ever meet! She is known in the industry for going above and beyond for her clients. She’s a proud CSULA Alumni and it truly shows in her logistical, technical, and design capabilities. Her husband is her best friend and she often shares stories about the wild adventures they go on together. Eileen is a Newport Beach local and proud of it! Over the weekends, it is highly likely that you will see her barefoot down by the ocean with her friends. She comes from a loyal Dodger family and will actually travel to see her team play in different stadiums across the U.S. A massive animal lover, crafty by nature, lover of old school R&B, and occasional ice cold Pacifico enjoyer, Eileen is an all-around wonderful energy and presence.

Matthew
Meet our go-to electrical load calculator, Matt possesses a great obsession with pizza and does not discriminate pizza of any kind. From Little Caesars to Pequod’s, a deep-dish joint mainstay in Chicago, he will thoroughly enjoy them all. Formerly immersed in the e-commerce industry for seven years, Matt holds a degree in Journalism and has produced stories for an L.A.-based newspaper, online outlet covering a Southeast L.A. community, as well as his alma mater’s publication, The Daily Forty-Niner. A die-hard Star Wars fan and online poker railbird (someone who watches other people play instead of actually playing), Matt also enjoys coding in his free time and dabbling in programming languages. If you ever ask him what he loves more than anything in the world, he’ll tell you that his family is his answer without hesitation. He can be found on his off time chasing after his toddler daughter, wherever they go.

Gabriel
Gabe is known for his energetic, helpful, and well-rounded personality. Prior to his start at DUEx in August, he held multiple titles as a Bartender, Merchandise Manager, Information Technology Student Worker, and DJ…all while getting his B.A. from Cal Poly Pomona. In his free time, Gabe stays active by hiking, biking, snowboarding, traveling, and attending music festivals and Dodger games. His most recent goal achieved is completing the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge of 2020 and plans to conquer more next year. His next goal is to visit every U.S. National Park. In the meantime, you’ll find him chowing down a pizza and spending time with friends, family, and Blau, his half German Shepherd, half Husky mutt.

Chris
Chris is the latest addition to the DUEx family. Originally from Fountain Valley, he now resides in Huntington Beach with his wife, Kelsey, puppy, Abby, and a baby on the way. Before joining our team, he racked up five years in the aerospace industry and was a surf instructor. Chris loves chipping away at woodworking projects and playing volleyball with his wife at the beach. Le Croix, pizza rolls, and spending time with church friends and family members on the weekend is his happiness.
Fun fact: He cannot handle anything sour and convulses with agony.
Not so fun fact: he was stung by a stingray and had to wait in a car for over 45 mins before getting help.
